Picture it a beautiful and warm August evening going to celebrate your birthday with family and friends! Yeah I know it's November but this lovely venue is worth this review! From the moment I decided to celebrate at @the_patio_thai I was connected with Tin Tin who provided amazing customer service and who also highly suggested that we dine in their patio area and I'm so glad we did! Located downtown RVA from the outside view of the building you wouldn't imagine the beauty that awaits! My guests and I were seated as soon as we arrived versus the "wait until more than half of your party is here". The table scape was beautiful and crazy enough we didn't see or feel any bugs! The waitresses and staff were super nice and accommodating though the service was a bit delayed in that there were other parties seated near as well as other patrons. I got a bday drink which was fruity and a good level of alcohol (4/5), pork dumplings/gyoza (3.9/5 I've had better but these were a solid choice) and Pad Thai with chicken no peanuts with a medium heat(4.3/5 perfectly portioned and prepared with a good amount of heat but tasty). As we were closing out the evening I was surprised with a beautiful chocolate ganache cake decorated for a Queen (4.1/5 really chocolatey and moist). If you're celebrating please consider dining here! I can't wait to go again!

Spot. Hitter. Was staying in downtown Richmond for work and was looking for something for an early dinner. Heard of this place on the recommendation of a coworker and decided to give it a shot, and man am I so happy I did! The restaurant itself is in a charming neighborhood and has the cutest back patio. The weather was gorgeous the day I went, so opted to sit back there. It was Happy Hour (4:30-7:30 I believe), so I got my Singha draft beer for a $1.00 off. Chose my go-to Thai meal of Green Curry with Shrimp (and white rice) from the dinner menu and OMG when I tell you I practically licked the bowl clean. It was absolutely delicious--exactly what I was hoping for and just the right amount of heat. I'm drooling just thinking about this meal again. Overall, I loved my early evening here. Charming restaurant with friendly staff and the food was amazing. Would RUN, not walk, back, if I'm ever in downtown Richmond again. All pictured was about $25 pre-tip.

Came here because we had a random coupon we got sent in the mail - and WOW what a cool spot. The entire vibe of this place is wonderful - beautiful patio outside with some gorgeous red brick, fountain, etc - felt very regal and we ended up having the whole place to ourselves... and a much more intimate scene on the inside. Love that its basically just a remodeled house? Service was quick and reliable, price was affordable (probs because of the coupon - but still), and there was plenty of variation on the menu. The Chicken Drunken Noodles were amazing - I still think about those tomato chunks and the soft pillowy texture of those noodles. Our other dish was a Tofu Gteen Curry, which had a KICK to it for sure but definitely delivered. This city has some good Thai food and we are confident this place should be near the top of that list on any given day.

It is such a cute hidden gem in downtown Richmond! It's right by VCUs campus. It's super easy to get to and even has a parking lot right next to it which is big for the city! It's very cute and intimate on the inside. It's in the basement of a building and has a great patio! I got the drunken noodles and they were so good! It was definently some of the better this I have had in richmond! The staff was super friendly, it takes a little while to get your food but once you get it, it's worth the wait!

Walked here before going to a show at Altria. Found via a yelp search! Food was amazing. The salmon curry was loaded with veggies and curry was perfect. We also got the spring rolls that were tasty and friend had pad thai. Drinks were delicious too. Place was small inside but we noticed the outside patio which adds extra space. Our service was good. Nothing spectacular but on point for what seemed like a busy Wednesday.
